(१) प्रधान न्यायाधीश तथा सर्वोच्च अदालतको न्यायाधीशले कम्तीमा पाँच वर्ष काम गरी राजीनामा दिएमा वा अनिवार्य अवकाश प्राप्त गरेमा वा निजको मृत्यु भएमा संघीय कानून बमोजिम निवृत्तिभरण पाउनेछ ।
(२) यस संविधानमा अन्यथा व्यवस्था गरिएकोमा बाहेक प्रधान न्यायाधीश तथा सर्वोच्च अदालतका न्यायाधीशको पारिश्रमिक र सेवाका अन्य शर्त संघीय कानून बमोजिम हुनेछ ।
(३) उपधारा

(२) मा जुनसुकै कुरा लेखिएको भए तापनि महाभियोगद्वारा पदमुक्त भएको वा नैतिक पतन देखिने फौजदारी कसूरमा अदालतबाट सजाय पाएको प्रधान न्यायाधीश वा सर्वोच्च अदालतको न्यायाधीशले उपदान वा निवृत्तिभरण पाउने छैन ।
(४) प्रधान न्यायाधीश वा सर्वोच्च अदालतको न्यायाधीशलाई मर्का पर्ने गरी निजको पारिश्रमिक र सेवाका अन्य शर्त परिवर्तन गरिने छैन । तर चरम आर्थिक विश्रृंखलताको कारणले संकटकालीन अवस्थाको घोषणा भएको अवस्थामा यो व्यवस्था लागू हुने छैन ।
(1) If the Chief Justice or a Judge of the Supreme Court who has served for at least five years resigns or undergoes compulsory retirement or dies, he or she shall be entitled to such pension as may be provided for in the Federal law.
(2) Except as otherwise provided in this Constitution, the remuneration and other conditions of service of the Chief Justice and Judges of the Supreme Court shall be provided for in the Federal law.
(3) Notwithstanding anything contained in clauses
(1) and
(2), the Chief Justice or a Judge of the Supreme Court who has been removed from office by way of impeachment or who has been punished by a court for a criminal offence involving moral turpitude shall not be entitled to gratuity or pension.
(4) The remuneration and other conditions of service of the Chief Justice or a Judge of the Supreme Court shall not be altered to his or her disadvantage. Provided that this provision shall not apply in cases where a state of emergency is declared because of extreme economic disarrays.
