था : यस संविधान बमोजिम राष्ट्रपति र उपराष्ट्रपति दुवैको पद रिक्त भएमा राष्ट्रपति वा उपराष्ट्रपतिको निर्वाचन भई कार्यभार नसम्हालेसम्म यस संविधान बमोजिम राष्ट्रपतिबाट गरिने कार्य प्रतिनिधि सभाको सभामुखले सम्पादन गर्नेछ ।
If the offices of both the President and the Vice-President fall vacant in accordance with this Constitution, the Speaker of the House of Representatives shall discharge the functions required to be performed by the President under this Constitution 197 until election to the President or Vice-President is held and he or she assumes office.
