Sunita Dangol is the Deputy Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, elected in May 2022, and is known for her advocacy in Newa cultural heritage, indigenous language script preservation and youth-driven urban governance. With a background in biotechnology and social work, she represents a new generation of municipal leadership in Nepal.
